Learn a little more about Nic below and be sure to say hello. He starts Monday!
What year did you start CrossFitting?
Summer of 2016.
Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?
I got into fitness and working out during my last two years of college while finishing up my baseball career. During my senior year, I went through a full ACL reconstruction which left me with a newfound passion for physical fitness and an enthusiasm to further grasp the capabilities of the human body. A year or so after I graduated, I went in for my first CrossFit workout and haven’t looked back. I’ve been hooked ever since!
Why did you become a trainer?
I started out as the head strength and conditioning coach for the Spring Arbor University baseball program for two years. As much as I loved working with high-level athletes, I knew I had more to give when it came to teaching in the field of physical fitness. The drastic effect CrossFit has had, not only my own life but the members around me, quickly validated my life decision to start coaching as a full-time profession. I have a great passion for helping others through my knowledge of nutrition and the CrossFit methodology and I am beyond excited to share them both with the members of this gym.
What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?
What is your favorite cheat food?
Chocolate chip cookies.
What’s your favorite superhero and why?
Batman has been my favorite since I was a kid growing up and who doesn’t love seeing a guy in a cape taking down bad guys in a cool car?
